Social Worker

It is a priviledge to be entering my 15th year as Social Worker at the Goodyear Early Childhood Center. Here I have been fortunate enough to wear many hats -- PPT (Planning and Placement Team) Coordinator, Educational Chairperson and Birth to Three Liason. The highlight of my job is teaching social skills groups in all of the Goodyear classrooms with my popular puppet, Lion O'Brien!
All social skill groups start off with the singing of the Goodyear Song. The words to the song are intended to reinforce the sense of community that we value so much at Goodyear. We want every child who attends Goodyear to have a strong sense of belonging and to know that we view each and every one of them as a unique and important part of our Goodyear community!

The Goodyear Song
(sung to the tune of Baby Beluga)
lyrics by Barbara Mudd
Goodyear School is for you and me
Goodyear School is the place to be
Bright, cheery rooms with the sun shining through And there's always so much to do Oh Goodyear is my school
Goodyear is your school
Come and see us grow
And you'll surely know
Why we're so happy!
Goodyear is the place where we learn and play
We care about each other every day
My friends circle around me holding hands so tight
And I know that I am feeling just right
Oh Goodyear is my school
Goodyear is your school
We're so very proud
So we sing out loud
We love to be here
Goodyear School is for you and me
Goodyear School is the place to be
Bright, cheery rooms with the sun shining through
And there's always so much to do! | |
