If there is a delay in school opening, an early closing or a closing for the day, it will be posted under the "Announcements" Section on the district homepage in addition to all the other ways in which they are typically announced. 

 

The Superintendent is in touch with the transportation supervisor and maintenance supervisor to assess the road conditions in town.  The State policy and town highway department are also consulted.  At that point the Superintendent will make a decision on the information provided to him on whether to delay or close school, and if the students are in school already, whether to do an early closing.
