The goal of the KIS PTO is to encourage parent, teacher and community involvement in the education and welfare of our students. We are not only about raising money – we are about parents who have an interest in the success of our children’s education!
Your support and involvement is the only way we can accomplish these goals.
The 2013-2014 school year is fast approaching and our PTO Executive Board will soon be seeking nominations to replace our current board members. Our PTO is entirely based on volunteer support, and we need more KIS families to join us!
Elections will be held at our next General PTO Meeting on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 at 7:00pm in the school library. Welcome to the KIS Parent Teacher Organization! Letter from Board Members
Dear Parents,
We would like to take a moment and welcome you to the KIS PTO!
Now that your child is in "middle school" and becoming more independent - your involvement in the school and PTO is even more important than ever!
Our PTO meets the first Thursday of every month in the school library from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
(See PTO Meeting Schedule Tab to left). Our Principal, Steve Rioux attends our meetings every month where we discuss what's going on both academically and socially at KIS. This is a great opportunity to discuss issues and concerns you may have or to just find out what's "happening" in our great school.
We welcome parents to join us at any of our meetings. However, if you cannot attend a meeting and would like something addressed with administration - please just email us and we can pass it along.
Fundraising is an important role of the PTO. Money raised from our fundraisers goes back into the school for transportation costs for fieldtrips, teacher appreciation breakfast, and more! Please visit our Fundraising tab to the left for the latest information.
