The Ninth Grade Freshman Transition Program is a program that ensures all freshmen have a successful transitional year as Killingly High School students. Program staff is dedicated to a team model utilizing common planning time for designing rigorous and engaging units of study, analysis of student learning strategies, and shared evaluation of student performance data. The success of each student?s transition will be determined by measurable data on their performance including attendance, behavior, coursework, and daily observations. Students will receive support through a prescribed series of interventions that involve various school support resources including parents, to ensure students academic and emotional growth and that all academy students achieve higher levels of learning.
