KHS Video Tech announces the formation of a NEW film production company!!

 

Mr. Durand and the current Film Production class are happy to announce the formation of new a film production company, Red Reel Films.  In anticipation of Film Production becoming a full year course next year the KHS Video Tech Department will be splitting into two distinct pathways.  Each with a culminating full year course.   The studio production side of video tech will consist of Intro to Studio Production, Advanced Studio Production and finishing off with Broadcast Journalism better known as KTV.  The film side of the department will consist of Intro to Field Production, a new course for 2013/14 Documentary Film Production and then finishing off the pathway, the soon to be full year course, Film Production.  Red Reel Films is hoping to produce several short films a year ranging from documentaries to fictional films.  Students in film production will hopefully get the experience of working for a real film production company and create everything themselves from writing the scripts, to costumes, casting, shooting, editing and distribution.  Since there are no real film production companies in the immediate area we are doing our best to create one right here in KHS.  The ultimate goal will be to hold a mini movie premier or film festival here at KHS.
